Xrays are one of the more common tasks carried out by a dental assistant. That’s why Xray training is covered within our dental school curriculum.

All dental assisting school graduates get a certificate that gives them the option to get a job in dental assisting anywhere in Louisiana.

We currently do not accept financial aid. Our dental school tuition plans come at affordable rates with varying ways to pay for your schooling. If none of our payment plans work for you, please give us a call! Maybe we can work things out if you have a special circumstance.

Dental Assistants are routinely asked to perform various duties. Assisting the dentist, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work are some of the most common duties.

Dental assistants may also prepare patients, and the work area, for treatments and procedures, assist the dentist during procedures, sterilize dental instruments, administrative and front office tasks, work with patients on billing and payments, taking molds and impressions, performing x-rays, & more.

According to Zip Recruiter, as of Dec 23, 2019, the average annual pay for a Dental Assistant in the United States is $35,865 a year. Based on recent job postings on ZipRecruiter, the Dental Assistant job market in both Shreveport, LA and the surrounding area is very active.

Unfortunately no. All of our graduates are from the Shreveport-Bossier area, and wind up finding their career in dental assisting in Louisiana. 

A dental assistant provides direct aid to dentists, conducting office tasks, and small, supervised jobs on patients’ teeth. Juxtaposed to a dental hygienist who works one-on-one with a patient, and doesn’t have as much constant supervision.
